I’m Stephanie.
I’m pretty much as smiley as I look.☺ I was a middle school teacher until I married my military husband and we started hopping across the country, following where the Army sent us. It was in one of those moves that I discovered my husband’s old DSLR camera….
I love a challenge and pushing myself to learn new things, so I set out to master the camera’s Manual mode. From there, the rest is history (well, including quite a few photography classes and equipment upgrades - no longer DSLR now; I’ve moved on to mirrorless!). All the while, I practiced taking candid shots of my children as they played - which helped me become quicker at settings changes and also discover that everyday, unposed moments are beautiful.
Eventually, friends started asking me to take their pictures, too, and I was able to grow my passion into a business. When I started seeing my images on holiday cards and framed on walls, I knew it was time to make it official!
After spending years traveling all over the island for photo sessions, I’ve recently decided to focus the majority of my sessions in the KoOlina and Kapolei area, where I live. I look forward to helping you capture memories of this beautiful area of Hawaii.

I’ve studied 5 languages (but can really only remember two now!)
My dream house would be almost empty. Clear ALL the things! (But does this mean my house is spotless now? ohhh no. I wish! I just want everything out so that would be easier!)
All-day beach hangouts with friends is my idea of a perfect Saturday

I was a middle school ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher before having having my two kids (daughter, 10 & son, 8). I definitely think that background helps me with family photo sessions.
